And they will be there for chronic pain people but if tampered with will not work at all.I just wanted to let you know what i have been told and didnt know if u had heard about this.Gental hugs&prayers to you & yours always Jackie Ed Bisch: They are working on this BUT any new formula is YEARS away. Another drug company has applied to make a GENERIC OXY so unless they are forced to use new formula then the problem will remain   Name:not given Email:not given Type:General Comment Date:8/17/2002 I realize that oxy is to blame in all of these deaths, but no one is holding a gun to these people's heads and making them take it everyone knows that if you aren't prescribed to a drug you are not supposed to use it. I am willing to bet that oxy alone didn't kill all of these people. Some of them may have died from oxy alone, but the would have to do a lot of oxy to do that and should know that too much of anything can kill you. A lot of deaths are caused from drinking and taking oxy or from oxy and some other type of drug or pill and just about everyone knows that drinking while taking any type of medication can kill you, even if it is just tylenol a friend of mine died from taking tylenol while she was drunk. I am not saying that the deaths are not trajic, because I do feel terrible for everyone that has posted a story about losing a loved one in this guestbook. So please do not take this wrong, I am just saying that the makers of oxy should not be punished for it and they should not get a bad name from it. They can not control the fact that people using it to get high or that people who are prescribed the drug are selling it................................. Ed Bisch: The SAD fact is a lot of people don't know this and the OVERMARKETING of OXY also contributed to a lot of the deaths. This drug needs to be better controlled.
