On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED
them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating
directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who
are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE
PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP
warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been
affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story
then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving
these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be
warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.

My son Shane Ryan died on May 09, 2002 at 11:50 pm, this was his second overdose on Oxycotin. The last one in June of 2001 sent him to Critical Care for several days...his body temp. was only 38 degrees and he was in renal failure. He survived by the grace of God, but continued to struggle with his addiction. He had been doing well...was attending a treatment program and more positive than he had ever been. He slipped and it took his life....I buried my son today on May 14, 2002, he would have turned 21 on May 16th. He left behind 2 brothers and a family who loved him and will miss him greatly. Shane, also blessed me greatly, he gave to me confidence, compassion, and understanding. It has been an honor and a privilege to be his Mother, and his purpose in life will not be forgotten. Thank You, Shane...
