On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.
Please read the other stories and add yours to our guestbook...

My best friend died 3/15/03 as a result of oxy abuse - i think about her everyday - this is a death that should never ever have happened - this was a young vital woman that experimented with oxy (40 and 80 mg) and died as a result of that stupid experiment ! I have had several md's try to "suggest" oxy to me both before and after my friend's death - no way no how - but this brings be to the question of: how do you trust an md who tries to "sell" you on oxy? this issue has bothered me since long before my best friend was killed - i tried in vein to stop her addiction but my efforts were to absolutely no avail! and now this issue is even more pressing - how long can this go on ? this is simply a purely addictive narcotic in a form designed to addict and kill the user - every user every time - and now we have palladone to look forward to - a new joy!!

Michael J Guyette, Jr. (age 23) died from an oxycontin overdose on 2/3/05. It was a tragic loss for my good friend's family. He will be greatly missed by all, and this untimely death has been a shock to his whole family. Michael's roomate also overdosed and died on the same day. May both of them be blessed in heaven.
