View All General Comment Abuse Story Death Story Chronic Pain Story       Please sign our Guestbook Name:curt Email: Type:Abuse Story Date:1/19/2003 on july 11 2002 i wrote to this site saying that i am four months clean. i would hate it if i wrote now that i relapsed but the good new is that i didn't. i am 11 months clean. all i want to say is that if u want it u can do it. i wish i could give everyone a cure so they would do the drug anymore but i can't. i know now what works for me and basically i am living a whole new lifestyle. one that is healthy. i would like to comment on what someone said , they do not want to stop bc u do not want to deal with the pain. well, one u will never have to deal with the pain bc u will be dead bc u do not want to change your life. bottom line, u have not hit rock bottom bc if u have u would. i know i am no one to tell u what to do but hopefully if u read this it will inspire u to step up to the plate and become drug free. be who are, taking a drug to be different or feel different is not the answer. find yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Name:mary ann owens Email:[email protected] Type:Death Story Date:1/17/2003 my son was 31. had 4 children.he had a long hard road on drugs, but when his doctor pre.him this, thats all it took.i'm mad i'm hurt,i cry everyday because i lost my son.and the sad thing about it, it was a pres. drug.my son had probaly done every drug there was and suffered from his problem. he had had surgery on his head, the year before he died then he had tryed to committ suicide 8 months before he died from the oxycontin. he lived in a very small town of southeastern okl.the one doctor he had gone to was giving him soma's, thats what he had took to try suicide. this doctor quite seeing him and he just went across the office to another and this doctor started giving him soma's-sanax-and oxycontin.yea i'm mad.this doctor to me was no different then a drug dealer.thank you letting me take this time to tell my story.   Name:Former Fishtowner Email: Type:Abuse Story Date:1/15/2003 Im a 22 yearold female and 2day (January 15th, 2003) I have 10 months and 3 days clean from oxycontins and all other mind altering substances. I started using oxy's when i moved to Fishtown from south philly.... they werent big in south philly because they werent as easy to get. I was doing other drugs and i was already addicted. Then i was introduced to oxycontins and i fell in love. I didnt know that i was waking up every morning sick because i was dope sick ( Going through withdrawl). I thought only dopers got dope sick. The connection between the oxys and heroin was irrelavant to me. I need to mention also that i worked with Eddie Bisch and he was a great guy. The oxy's are powerful... u dont even know it and ur hooked. I think that it is great that there is a web page dedicated to Eddie and to the others that have lost thier lives to this killer. It took deaths like Eddies to make me see that i needed help. Even then i had to become homeless before i could see the real toll it was taking on my life. I went to one week of detox, 1 month of rehab and 6 months in a halfway house to help with my addiction. I will always be an addict, but relapse isnt a requirement. I dont have to surrender my life and the ones i love to this drug and nether does anyone else. There is NA meeting all over the US. Make one!!!! Thanx for letting me share. Much Love Eddie!!!!
