On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.
Please read the other stories and add yours to our guestbook...

Type:Death Story

Early this mourning, around 3:30, my friend Christopher Noonan passed away due to an oxycontin overdose. He was at his girlfriend's house and she knew he was really messed up from taking two of her mother's oxycontin pills and drinking a six pack of beer. She took him and placed him on her bed. She soon after fell asleep with him in her arms. She woke up, her hand still on his chest, around 3:00 a.m. She did not feel a heartbeat, and looked up at him, and saw his lips were blue and he had white foam dangling from his mouth. Panicking, she wiped away the foam, and tried to revive him by performing CPR and mouth-to-mouth, but nothing happened. She screamed for her mother, who did not know what to do. They called 911 and an ambulance came and took Chris and his girlfriend and her mother to the hospital, but it was too late to do anything. He died. He did not know the dangers of oxycontin. I just hope that everyone knows the darngers of any type of perscription pill they take and what not to mix it with, such as alcohol. Please, don't take medicine not perscribed to you. You never know what will happen.

Type:Chronic Pain Story

Date:12/20/2002
I wondered into this site after seeing the name. I have to admit that I am sitting here crying my eyes out. After years of chronic pain and fatigue and going through Lorcet, Lorcet Plus, Vicoden, Percocet, etc. etc. and being told my pain was "all in my head" by plenty of doctors, because there is no x=ray, no blood work, no tests to diagnose fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. But I finally met my "angel doctor" who did diagnose me with fibromyalgia and although she hated the fact that I had been taking narcotics for so long, that she knew nothing else would help. She go me into a wonderful pain clinic where they prescribed me Oxycontin 20 mg every 12 hourse and Percocet for breakthrough pain. All I can say is it changed my life! I would never dream of "abusing" the oxycontin.. I am only 36 years old with two boys, ages 17 and 10. I can function now! Get out of bed in the morning without my kids listening to me cry for the first half hour. Shame on anyone that gives or sells oxycontin to kids who do not know where it will lead them. And people like me, that got my life back because of oxycontin. God Bless you all:) I feel your pain for your lost loved ones. My sons dad died almost 5 years ago. Thanks for "listening" and I'm sorry if I went on to long!
