On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED
them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating
directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who
are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE
PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP
warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been
affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story
then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving
these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be
warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.

I think oxy's should be banned except for patients with terminal illnesses such as cancer. This drug is way over prescribed. There are much less lethal meds for people with back pain...what did they do before oxy's? I hear something about oxy's everyday. Alot of people who don't need them can just get them prescibed to them and then sell them and then someone ends up overdosing,most of these overdoses are young people who should just be starting their lives not dying.there should absolutly be stricter laws on prescribing this pill. I SNORTED OXY FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS.I STARTED VERY SMALL AND WORKED MY WAY UP VERY VERY BIG.IT TOOK LOSING EVERYTHING FOR ME TO LEARN JUST HOW ADDICTED I WAS.SPENT TWO MONTHS IN JAIL.TWO MONTHS AWAY FROM MY THREE KIDS.TWO MONTHS AWAY FROM MY MOM AND FAMILY.TWO MONTHS AWAY FROM OXY'S.ALTHOUGH I HAVE MESSED UP A TIME OR TWO SINCE,I AM FINALLY TURNING MY LIFE BACK AROUND.IT WAS NEVER EASY!!THERE IS NO EASY WAY OUT.NO QUICK CURE.IT WAS THE WORST TIME OF MY LIFE.I WOULD HAVE NEVER MADE IT WITHOUT MY SUPPORT GROUP.WE ARE A SMALL GROUP OF ABOUT 12 WOMEN.EACH AND EVERYONE OF US WAS ADDICTED TO SOMETHING AT SOMETIME.MY FAMILY TURNED THEIR BACKS ON ME.THIS SUPPORT GROUP HAS BEEN ALL I HAVE HAD TO HELP ME GROW,LEARN,AND JUST BE MYSELF.I AM NOW IN COLLEGE FULL TIME.I HAVE MY THREE WONDERFUL KIDS HOME.I HAVE A JOB AND I OWN A CAR.I AM NOT SAYING IT'S ALL ROSES NOW!!!I STRUGGLE EVERYDAY TO STAY AWAY FROM A 20,40,OR 80!!!!!!!MY JOB PAYS LESS THAN MIN. My husband and father of my children died last month and it still seems like yesterday. He was an alcoholic just out of detox. Been clean for 3 weeks ad trying really hard to get himself straight for himself and his family. He went to the Dr. and was prescribed oxycontin. What kindof Dr. gives this drug to a healthy 30 year old man with alcohol problems? He didnt help him,He killed him! Now Im left alone with 2 kids and alot of unanswered questions! |
