HE FIRST STARTED OUT JUST USING WEED,DIRNKING, AND EVERY NOW AND THEN POPPING SOME PILLS. IT WAS NOT UTNIL HIS SO CALLED FRIENDS INTRODUCED HIM TO OC'S. HE STARTED TAKING THOSE AND HE SEEMED O.K. FOR A WHILE BUT LATER ON I FOUND OUT THAT HIS FRIENDS WHERE SHOOTING THEM UP. I TOLD HIM HE WAS NEVER TO TRY THIS, BUT HIS GREAT FRIENDS(YEAH RIGHT) TOLD HIM THAT THEY WOULD GIVE HIM A PILL FOR FREE IF HE WOULD SHOOT IT UP AND OF COURSE HE DID. HE TOLD ME ABOUT THIS AND I WAS HORRIFIED AND CRIED FOREVER AND MADE HIM PROMISE ME THAT HE WOULD NEVER DO IT AGAIN. I STARTED TO SEE GRADUAL CHANGES IN HIM. HE HAD HORRIBLE MOOD SWINGS AND BECAME VERY MEAN TO ME. I STARTED FINDING NEEDLES ALL OVER THE HOUSE AND I WENT CRAZY. COME TO FIND OUT HE HAD STOLE MONEY FROM MYSELF AND HIS PARNETS. HE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO SUPPORT HIS HABIT OF SHOOTING UP FOUR TO FIVE TIMES A DAY. HE FINALLY BROKE DOWN AND CALLED HIS MOTHER AND ME AND ADDMITTED HE HAD A PROBLEM AND WE TOOK HIM TO A REHAB CENTER WHERE HE SEEMED TO BE DOING WELL. WHEN HE LEFT HE STAYED OFF THEM FOR A GOOD WHILE BUT HE STARTED HANGING OUT WITH SOME DIFFERNT PEOPLE, BUT THEY WERE THE SAME TYPE OF FRIENDS. HE STARTED TAKING SMALL DOESES OF HYDROCODINE AND THEN THIS STARTED TO GET OUT OF CONTROL. HE CAME HOME ONE NIGHT AND STARTED CHOCKING ME BECAUSE HE WAS SO MESSED UP. THIS SCARED ME GREATLY BUT THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAD BEEN SCARED. WHEN HE WAS SHOOTING UP FOUR TO FIVE TIMES A DAY HE WENT IN THE BED ROOM AND LOADED THE SHOT GUN AND WAS GONNA BLOW HIS HEAD OFF WITH ME IN THE OTHER ROOM. I HEARD HIM LOAD IT AND BUSTED THE BED ROOM DOOR DOWN AND THEN WE RESTLED AROUND WITH A LOADED SHOT GUN. WELL I LEFT HIM FOR A WHILE AND THE DAY I LEFT HE SPENT 500 DOLLARS AND SHOT IT ALL UP IN TWO DAYS. HE WOKE UP THE NEXT DAY TO FIND OUT THAT HE HAD WRECKED HIS CAR. HE HAD NO CLUE HOW THIS HAPPENED OR IF HE HURT ANYONE. THAT IS HOW MESSED UP HE WAS. WELL HIS PARENTS THEN TOOK HIM IN AND WATCHED HIS EVERY MOVE FOR A FEW MONTHS AND HE WAS DOING MUCH BETTER I EVENTUALLY CAME BACK TO HIM IN HOPES THAT HE HAD BEATEN THIS ADDICTION ONLY TO FIND OUT A FEW DAYS AGO THAT HE HAD SHOT UP AGIAN. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN TO ANYONE HOW IT FEELS TO COME IN YOUR HOUSE AND FIND NEEDLES. I NEVER FEEL SAFE IN MY HOUSE I AM SO WORRIED ABOUT FINDING THINGS OR FINDING HIM DEAD. I AM SCARED THAT FOR SOME PEOPLE THEY MAY NEVER BE ABLE TO BEAT THIS ADDICTION. I HAVE WENT THROUGH SO MUCH PAIN WATCHING WHAT USE TO BE MY FIANCE DO THIS NOT ONLY TO HIMSELF BUT ME AND HIS FAMILY AS WELL. HE SAYS HE KNOWS THAT HE HAS HURT US AND NEVER WANTS TO DO THAT AGAIN BUT FOR SOME REASON HE KEEPS DING IT AND I WISH I KNEW WHY OTHER THATN THE FACT THAT HE IS ADDICTED. HE SAYS HE HAS ONLY DONE IT TWICE BUT IF YOU ARE OR HAVE BEEN ADDICTED TO THIS YOU CAN NOT ONLY DO IT TWICE AND IF YOU THINK YOU CAN THAN YOU REALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND YOUR ADDICTION. I HAVE GONE TO MEETINGS WITH HIM, TO THE DOCTORS, STUCK BY HIM THROUGH REHAB AND I FEEL THAT IT HAS GOTTEN US NO WHERE ESPECAILLY HIM. HE SEEMS TO DO IT WHEN HE IS HAVING A REALLY BAD DAY OR HE CAN NOT DEAL WITH HIS PROBLEMS THAT LIFE THROWS AT HIM. TO ME THIS IS A SIGN OF A VERY WEAK PERSON. I LIVE MY LIFE EVERYDAY WONDERING IF THE MAN I FELL IN LOVE WITH IS GONNA KILL HIMSELF AND TAKE MY HEART WITH HIM. I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT THESE PILLS ARE NEEDED FOR PEOPLE WITH SEVERE PAIN BUT THEY ARE NOT NEEDED TO DEAL WITH LIFE. IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADVICE TO GIVE ON HOW TO HELP ME DEAL WITH THIS ... Name:george Email:[email protected] Type:Abuse Story Date:9/24/2002	I was wondering about a couple of things.. i've taken a liquid form of oc, it was a 20mg dose. i've taken it 3 times. i was wondering if ne 1 has ne idea how often/much u have to take b4 u get additced. as soon as i came across this site i quit takeing it. i tried it becuz i found that my brother is takeing it. and hez going threw oc bad.i dunno wut to do to get him help. he came to me 1 night telling me he doesnt know wut to do to get off of it. i talked to him, i had 2 of his friends talk to him, and he got mad. well just thought i'd write in and basiclly ask those questions. feel free to email me at [email protected]

Name:Theresa Email:[email protected] Type:Death Story Date:9/23/2002	I'm not even sure that I know where to begin on the subject of Oxys! I lost my 1st cousin who was also my best friend, my buddy, confidant and we always referred to each other as "my rock"!! Larry would come to talk to me about anything and he never hid the fact that he did Oxys. He was trying very hard to get clean and had not taken an Oxy for 3 weeks. On Saturday night August 19,2001 Larry's brother came screaming into my home that Larry had been found dead!! I can't for the life of me figure out why this had to happen to such a wonderful man! All day on Saturday he had worked next door on my sisters house. Larry was a construction worker and loved doing things for anyone that asked. He was only 33 yrs. old and had so much to live for. Now all I can do is visit the cemetary and it seems so unfair! Larrys parents already knew first hand what it was to lose a son as they had lost one just 23 months earlier at the age of 29 to the same thing! OXYS AGAIN!! They had 4 sons and all 4 were on these deadly pills. Now with 2 of them gone they have the 2 youngest left and I pray every day that they are not taken from them! These two have been in the Methadone clinic for this addicton and Thank God the youngest (27 yrs. old) has beaten this addiction and the methadone. The 29 yr. old is still in the clinic but I have to say Thank God he is still alive and hopefully he will be off the Meth soon. I think one of the hardest things is knowing that Larry died on Saturday night and he had an appointment for the Meth Clinic on Monday!! There again, being he was on his 3rd week of being off the Oxy his heart could not take anything else at all! He went to sleep at a friends (in his truck) and never woke up! The friend says he had taken a Valium or Xanax cause he felt bad and wanted to get some rest~nobody thought about trying to wake him until it was TO LATE! I know one day I will see Larry again but there is not a day that goes by that I don't miss him and need or want to talk to him. I still listen for him to come in with a yell and I will forever miss hearing him say each time he left (I love you girl)........He was my buddy and my best friend!! He knew how much I loved him but God knows how I want to tell him just one more time I love you Larry and I will always miss you!
