On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.
Please read the other stories and add yours to our guestbook...

My sister-in-law, Sandra, told me about this site. We can really relate to it since our only child, Jesse Gifford, ended his short life of 23-years on July 14, 2002 by accidentally overdosing on OxyContin. I miss him more than words can say. I have never felt anything more horrible in my life and I know that I never will. We are really having a hard time living with this nightmare. Like so many, we had NEVER heard of this drug before. My question is "Why?" I know that Jesse wasn't aware of it's potential danger. Like the author of this website, I feel that people need to be educated, especially in high schools and colleges. Parents have to be educated and the street dealers need to be stopped. For that reason, we agreed to an interview with a local newspaper featuring an article on OxyContin. I would like to direct you to the website so you can read this article if you wish. The URL is www.metroland.net. It is in Metroland Back Issue Vol. 25 Number 38 Dated September 19, 2002. The title is 'A Killer High'. My aim is to make other parents aware of the dangers of this drug so that they don't have to experience what we are going through. God Bless Us All

PLEASE READ!!!!! I have just started learning about oxycotton. The reason I started was because i just learned about the death of a friend of mine. He overdosed on oxycotton. He was only 16 and his life ended because of a stupid choice. If you know anyone that takes this drug please warn them of the dangers and try to get them help. No high is worth your life. Even if you have friends that do drugs please just warn them about this drug and the dangers that come with it. Please dont make the same mistake my friend did. thanks, in memory of WILL

SO LITTLE AND INNOCENT, WAS NOT LONG AGO THAT I HELD YOU SO CLOSE, FOR FEAR TO LET GO. AND AS THE YEARS PASSED, AND LIFE TOOK CONTROL. YOU GREW AND YOU WANDERED AND TOOK A LITTLE STROLL. OFF YOU WENT TO SCHOOL, WAVED GOODBYE ON THE BUS. AND I BLEW YOU A KISS, I STILL HAD SOME TRUST. FOR YOU HAD TO GROW UP, I COULD NOT HOLD ON. BUT MY FEELINGS WERE MIXED AND OH SO TORN. AND NOW AS YOU STRUGGLE ALL I WANT IS TO CRY. TO STOP YOU, TO SHAKE YOU, TO NEVER SAY GOODBYE. FOR THE DRUGS ARE YOUR LIFE, NEVER DREAMED THIS TO BE. TO SEE MY LITTLE SON ACTUALLY STEAL FROM ME. WHO ARE YOU, WHERE ARE YOU , AND HOW CAN I TRY. TO GET YOU BACK NOW, CAN'T BEAR IF YOU DIE. FOR I FEAR FOR YOUR LIFE, YOU CAN'T SEEM TO BREAK FREE. DEAR GOD, WHAT CAN I DO, TO GET MY SON BACK TO ME. FOR A MOTHER , YOU SEE, WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER. FOR BAD, NOT SO BAD AND EVEN FOR BETTER. MY HEART ACHES EVER DAY AS I WATCH YOU TUMBLE. YOUR LIFE, YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS, I MUST WATCH YOU STUMBLE. STILL HOPE THAT ONE DAY, I'LL KNOW WHO YOU ARE. I'LL REMEMBER THAT LITTLE BOY IS NOT VERY FAR. BUT FOR NOW I MUST SIT HERE AND DO NOTHING AT ALL. FOR NO ONE CAN STOP YOU FROM THAT GREAT BIG FALL.......................... MARIA
