But for a long time I never saw on one just herd talk ... intil one day in class . When I turn around to see what my best friends was in to and he was crushing up one which was not the only time i saw this i saw this every day in every class this is just one thime that finnaly scared it out of him .. i ask him what is was he told me he had been doing them for a while now .. I told him that it was going to kill him but he said he would be all right ...well after he did the OC class changed and we walked down the hall to gether and whent to the next class .... Well as the class started he pecked him on the shoulder when i turn around i was scared he was sweting like it was hunderd dergrees in that room but it was not he was also very pale. he ask me to go get him a water cause he was thirsty and i did when i came back he was sleep on the desk .... it kind of scared me cause i thought he might of died on me .... but as i wachted him breath me and another friend kelp an eye on him and hoped he would sleep it off but sleep help a little when he woke up he was sick he slept allday at school and when he whwent home . This was not the only time he had scared me like this at school. Somtimes at school i would have to tell him and his friend what class to go to and where it was at it was always somethime .. but after the thing with him freaking out and sweeting like he did i think it scared him he finally gave it up after i stayed on to him over so maybe if you have a friend and u are worried about them maybe just talking and showing them this web site my actully help.

Name:Marti Jordan Email:[email protected] Type:Death Story Date:8/11/2002	My son Ed was found dead in his apartment on April 22, 2002. He would have been 32 years old this comming wednesday Aug. 14th. The autopsy report said he died of oxycodone toxicity. I know he wouldnt have taken it if he knew what the outcome would be. He lived in Florida for the last 3 years and was doing so well. He had a good job, and seemed to be getting his life together. I know he wasnt abusing the drug because I talked to him weekly and would have know if he was on something. I dont think he was fully aware of what would happen by mixing the antidepresent, which the doctor prescribed for him, alcohol and the oxycontin. I am so angry at laboratories that make medicines that kill people. We have enough pills out there on the streets that kill our kids. Something needs to be done and fast about this killer drug. I am so thankful for this website, with tears in my eyes, I only hope many young people will take heed to the warnings of what this horrible drug can do to them, as well as the other drugs that are out there.

Name:Tiffany Mello Email:[email protected] Type:Abuse Story Date:8/10/2002	My younger brother Joe is only 18 years old, and horribly addicted to this home-wrecking drug, OxyContin. I use the term "home-wrecking" because I feel as though our family is being slowly tortured by Joe's addiction. I having loving parents, still happily married and willing to do anything to help my brother. However, his battle is with himself, and being his older sister watching him live each day this way is definetly taking its toll. I know my brother hasn't meant to put my family through this hell, and that is the saddest part about this. From the lies, to the stealing from my parents, right up to the verbally abusive withdrawls to anyone who may not say "the right thing", Joe is a different person now. He is scaring everone who ever cared about him that the real Joe, the person we all love, may not be comming back. Please post this story as a voice in the battle against OxyContin. The more people hear, the more they know, and quite frankly, there is not enough negative publicity about such a devistating drug. Thank You
