On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.
Please read the other stories and add yours to our guestbook...

on Jan. 19 2001 a kid that I babysat and watched grow up had overdosed and died from oxy's. it is over a year since he died and it is still hard to deal with. there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about him. Every time I see his mother I break down and I can't really talk to her. I can't even imagine how much pain she's in cause I know how I feel and he wasn't my kid. He had so much going for him, he could have been so many things. He never even got the chance to live his life, because he thaught he was having harmless fun.

I am a twenty three year old male who was recently diagnosed with Patella chromidinium(or however it is pronounced) in both knees. I was recently prescribed Vicodin because Otc drugs and Nsaids failed to alleviate my pain. It shames me to hear that people are abusing Oxycontin or Vicodin for the sole purpose of getting high. Simply walking or climbing up stairs seemed like painful chore until I started taking Vicodin. This drug and other pain killers really make the lives of chronic pain sufferers such as myself a lot easier. The rising abuse of such drugs is making doctors more hesitant to prescribe these medications to people who actually need them.

On April 15, 2002 my brother James Patrick Flynn "Jimmy" died. While intoxicated with alcohol, he had taken oxy. His wife went to wake him up for work, then realized that he had died while he was sleeping. Jimmy was only 33 years old. He was a floorman at a hotel and casino in Las Vegas. He left behind a beautiful 2 year old son, Kyle, a very precious 4 mo., old daughter, brianna, and his wonderful wife brenda as well as two great parents, Bill & Sherry, three sisters and three brothers. His kids will never have the joy of knowing their father and for his family, his memories are all that we'll have. We all love Jimmy so dearly and we all miss him so very much!!
