On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED
them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating
directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who
are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE
PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP
warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been
affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story
then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving
these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be
warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.

Mr. Bisch
First of all i'd like too say how deeply sorry i am about your son. My name is Danny McInnis and i am from boston,ma, born and raised. i'm sorry to say o'c's are causeing horror in my city. I've got a long list of people i know who have died either cause mixin other pills with oxy, drinkin with oxy, started on oxy and ended up doin herion, just really bad things. This last november on the 3rd my bestfriend who i love and miss so much overdosed and died on oxy's and other pills. his name was Matthew O'Brien and he was 17 years old. its hard for me to write this. I myself and a recoverin addict, i still used after his death which hurts me everyday. i'm 7 weeks sober and no longer in boston. I was with matty almost all of our lives. Our whole crew was with eachother all the time. But a few of us had special relationships. And me, Matty, and one other person had that relationship with matty. I stay intouch with his brother and sister but ever time his mother see's me or my other friend she breaks down. its hurts so bad i can't even imagine what they are goin though. His dad has been strong with us, he's really tryin to help us get off this shit. i seen the same strenth in you when i seen you on T.V. and that touched me more than you will ever know. All i'm tryin to do now is not let O'B (as we called him) die in vain. And for his parents and family, and for my mom, and friends to show them someone can do it, and for myself to stay clean. Cause its so hard too get off this shit, its a battle everyday and if i knew what i was getting myself into i would have never started this nightmare. i bet my buddy would say that too. i wish he was here to say it. thats what i wanted to tell you cause in a way i feel what your goin though. And i just wanted you to know that there is someone else that is out there tryin to fight this battle too.
your buddy b-town

As a recently detoxed oxy addict, I was prescribed this drug for chronic neck pain. I was given no warnings about the dangerous nature of this drug. Now, several weeks out of detox and two weeks of hospitalization for uncontrolled vomiting and a 20 lb weight loss, I believe this drug should be given to terminally ill patients only.

My friend, Sean Walker, 24, of Valdosta, GA died February 18, 2002 from Oxycontin. He apparently crushed a pill and snorted 1/3 of the pill along with some other people. He had also been using cocaine. His brother said that he went to his room and when it got quiet, he got worried so he went to check on Sean. Sean was laying on the bed, barely breathing. He was taken to the hospital where he stopped breathing but the doctors were able to revive him. But Sean was brain dead, only one of his brain stems was showing any kind of activity. His organs slowly started to shut down. They took him off of life support the morning of February 18. He left behind 2 brothers, a sister, and a daughter. |
