On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.
Please read the other stories and add yours to our guestbook...

My partner recieved a perscription for oxycontin after having a surgery ,four days later she died of a overdose. The medical examiner said it was a suicide. This is even more upsetting , because I know she never intended to not wake up. I belive had she not been given the 0xycontin that I would't be grieving her death. It's unbelievable that this should happen and if I can warn others about the potential risk of death asociated with oxycontin I will . It's been one month since I found her and my life will be forever changed. So please help to warn others.

Oxycntin, has cost me whole life, I have lost everything, to afford my habit I pawned, or sold everything we ever had, including my childrens things, after 4 years and countless attempts to quit, my husband of 10 years (together20) frustration boiled over and he left, leaving me with my 2 kids, my habit exploded and I began to inject oxy's, soon after my kids were taken from me. That was my wake up call, I have been clean for 1 year, and I submit to weekly, random urine tests to prove my success, my husband moved on, and is happy, my kids are back with me, my life is o.k. I'm making a comeback, I did it and anyone can, it is painful, and sleepless, but each day gets better, and what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger, stop now, before you too lose everything, or your life, I've seen it happen!

I am a 10th grader at my highschool in Alabama and i decided to do my health report on oxycontin. When asked why i picked this topic i told my teacher that i've seen what it does to people when they overdose and i want to tell others about how bad it can be. A really good friend of mine takes oxycontin every weekend. I try to tell him to stop but he is addicted or atleast i think he is. At first he only would take lortab, then xanax, and now oxycontin. It really makes me scared for his life but i just dont know what to do about it. I cant tell his parents because i know they will not care, i mean he is 17 and doesnt even live at home and he dropped out of high school. I mean i've seen him just take one and be messed up all night long, and doctors prescribe these pills to people? I know that if you take them as directed they are supposed to be safe but jeeze who knew doctors would give you something that can kill you...
