On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.
Please read the other stories and add yours to our guestbook...

I'd like to write my whole story, but don't have time at the moment. I was hooked on OCs for about a year and tried to quit several times on my own. The withdrawal was so bad I couldn't quit. I played the withdrawal symptoms off to my family and friends as depression. One doctor put me on Wellbutrin. After 1 week on that, I became flat broke and couldn't afford OCs anymore. I was scared about the withdrawals, but I barely felt them the first two days. After that, I was pretty much fine. As bad as I felt trying to get off them before and the way I felt after being on the Wellbutrin and giving it time to kick in, I can only assume the Wellbutrin helped me. I know it's not good to take anti-depressants with narcotics, but I know there are many people out there that read this board that feel they can't go to anyone for helpand try unsuccessfully to get off Oxys on their own. I'm not saying go out and get a prescription to Wellbutrin and you'll be fine, but this is what helped me and it's important to get off this drug as soon as possible and hopefully as pain free as possible.
