On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED
them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating
directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who
are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE
PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP
warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been
affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story
then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving
these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be
warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.

My Daughter is in an ICU currently in a coma from an overdose. Among the things they have identified in her system is Oxycontin. She is a beautyful 22 year old with everything to live for and at this very moment is only alive because she is connected to life support & has been in a coma since Friday night, it is now Sunday morning and she has yet to respond to any type of treatment. Her lung has collapsed, she has developed pneumonia & has liver damage. It is imposible to tell at this point the extent of & if there is any brain damage. She is yellow and swolen and full of tubes and wires.
She is my Daughter.
This is hard.

Matthew Waterson was a crazy, kind, open minded, sexy 20 year old that graduated from high school and lost his way somehow. Oxycotin DID NOT help... it was an escape of reality and he lost control... all control. He would fight drugs for a week or so... yet he broke down and I watched mt boyfriend, the person I loved most in this world, my heart fall to pieces. My husband has chronic stomach pain, severe cramping and diarrea. No doctor knew what was the matter with him so they diagnosed Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). He tried every medicine they would throw at him and finally they resorted to pain killers. He started taking Oxycontin and they only worked to kill the pain but not stop the other symptoms so he started abusing the drug. A one month perscription would only last 2 weeks. He was mixing this with other pain killers and drugs the quack doctor prescribed to him. Finally I called the doctor and told of the abuse. They cut him off and perscibed methadone which was not much better. He ODed on that and was found barely alive, not breathing and dropped off at the hospital by a "friend" while I was at work. He cleaned up and found an all natural prebiotic PREBIO 7 which mixed with Paxil and a few other natural meds became a miracle for him. He now has a job and a happy family. He still blames me for taking away his oxy, his ODing and the trouble we went through after that but I never have regretted my desision to call the doctor. I know he would be dead by now if I didn't care to get him help. |
