On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED
them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating
directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who
are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE
PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP
warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been
affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story
then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving
these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be
warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.

hi my name is kelly and today we buried our best friends son who was 19 yrs old from an overdose of oxycontin. it was very sad to see the parents of this boy who they will never see again. i wish more kids would read these articles and see how dangerous these drugs are and the sadness i saw in our friends eyes. i guess they dont think of these things. thank you for letting me share this with you. |

JUst looked at your website and it brought tears to my eyes. It's a shame all of these people had to lose their lives over oxycontin. I am from Louisiana, a very small town, Bogalusa. Within the last year we have had 6 overdoses on oxycontin that I know of. These are people whom I knew. In the last 3 days we have had 2 deaths, one of which was a 22 yr old and my husbands step father oded last night. Something should really be done about these dr's writing these scripts. Our own sherriff had to resign because he forged a script for OC's and was addicted to them. What is this world coming too? People are leaving this state just to go to dr's that will write them OC's. When is someone with higher power gonna realize that this is a REAL nationwide problem????

I don't konw anyone who has died taking this drug but I do know alot of my friends who take it. Your information and stories have made me realize how important they are to me. I will inform them on the cause's and effects the drug has and hope they will be as aware of the outcome this drug as I now am. I am truly sorry for the loved ones you all have so painfully been taken away from. And now with this information I hope I can stop another victom of oxycontin. |
