On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.
Please read the other stories and add yours to our guestbook...

I am a student and in my pharmacology class we quickly touched upon OxyContin. I always heard about how bad the drug was, but it never really hit home, until I found out my younger sister (17) had "tried" Oxy a few times. I was furious and so frightened that I was going to lose her like everyone else did; to this horrible drug. I realized that I had to do research and talk about this drug in my class to get people to realize how bad of a drug it is, and hope that they are going to pass it along to people they know... (word of mouth) I researched alot, and this is one of the ways I got this website. I really had no clue how bad of a drug it is for people who abuse it. I understand that this drug could be the "miracle drug" since it relieves chronic pain for twelve hours at a time, which is great for people who seriously need the drug, but it is just devistating to hear all the horror stories about how this drug is ruining the people's lives who are taking them and the friends and family of the victims. I just dont understand why Purdue Pharma or even the FDA isn't taking OxyContin off the market when it has such a high abuse and death rate. It just really boggles my mind. I am sorry for everyone who has lost someone to or is struggling with OxyContin and I wish the best to all of you. Keep your heads high and keep up the hope and love.

I lost one of my dearest friends. One great kid who found himself addicted with nowhere to turn for help, nor at the time did he want it. Seems like people would learn, not a month before his death he lost a good friend to the same thing, oxycontins. Now he's left behind his whole loving family and some of the best of friends. I miss him terribly. I think of him daily. How young he was, how much life he's missing out on. He was such a smart boy who just made the wrong choice in life. We all make wrong choices, just some of us don't come out as lucky as others. I love and miss you Christopher Wayne Clark!
