On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED
them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating
directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who
are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE
PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP
warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been
affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story
then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving
these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be
warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.

I lost one of my dearest friends. One great kid who found himself addicted with nowhere to turn for help, nor at the time did he want it. Seems like people would learn, not a month before his death he lost a good friend to the same thing, oxycontins. Now he's left behind his whole loving family and some of the best of friends. I miss him terribly. I think of him daily. How young he was, how much life he's missing out on. He was such a smart boy who just made the wrong choice in life. We all make wrong choices, just some of us don't come out as lucky as others. I love and miss you Christopher Wayne Clark! |

i was on oxycontin for chronic back pain. i had three back surgeries, including a spinal fusion. i have permanent sciatic nerve damage. after suffering through pneumonia; my family and friends wanted me back...not the zombie that has slept her life away. i tried to kill my self, twice. i was always depressed, and felt so lethagic. my grandson was born, i went home after the trip back, in severe pain, thought here is another one that i will let down, and overdosed. i ruined the precious blessed moment of his birth and my daughter will probably never forgive and forget. you don't think clearly on oxycontin. you have the only desire to be free of pain. i have been off oxycontin since last december, and i am awake, and i am getting a life back i have a new doctor. however, the damage to my body, family, and friends, and most of all to god, of just throwing my life away and causing hurts and disappointments, i cannot undo. LISTEN TO ME WHOEVER IS ON OXYCONTIN...STOP!!!!YOU CAN DO IT, I DID WITHOUT HOSPITALIZATION. I AM ALIVE AND YOU SHOULD NOT LET A MEDICATION CONTROL YOU. OXYCONTIN WILL SUCK THE LIFE RIGHT OUT OF YOU. PLEASE, PLEASE, STOP. |

I was reading what people wrote & when I read what Betty Clark wrote I couldn't believe it. Your son Chris died the exact same day my best friend/ex-fiance Bobby died. I am so sorry you had to go through this. I know it must be hard with the 6 month mark coming up. I know I thought I was doing ok for awhile but I was really just pretending like it never happened & now I'm crying all the time again & I'm so tempted to go back to using to numb the pain. I hope you & your family are doing okay. Rest In Peace Bobby, I miss you so much & I love you so much |
