At about 6:30am monday morning my boyfriends mom went to get him up for work and he wouldn't wake up. His body was ice cold and he wasn't breathing. The night before just like many others he snorted an oxycotton 80 millagrams and swolled some of his anxiety medication along with much alchol. Then at about 8:00pm he passed out on his bed. His mother went up at 9:00pm and she said she herd him snoring so she figured he was fine. Josh passed out almost every night so it's not like any of us could have known that this night he would never wake up. The only difference was that Josh never got violent or anything if someone wouldn't sell them to him he was just like whatever and eighter went home and didn't care or just went to someone else to get it. But Sunday night he went to his friends house and his friend refused to give him any cus Josh was already pretty messed up. So Josh told the kid if he didn't give him any he would kill him and his girlfriend and that evil things would happen to his family so the kid gave it to him unwillingly. Josh was never ever violent. Everybody loved Josh I mean he knew everyone and eighter you hated Josh or you loved Josh. I guess thats all i can say it would take to long to tell you everything.

Self-defeating behavior including drinking and drugs. I know what the percentage is...It's the same as it's ALWAYS been,meaning that there is always going to be a certain percent of the population that is aware of the the risks of drugs and alcohol but do it anyway and jail,overdoses and the risk of death will stop those people from it. No matter what you do or say to these people, nothing will make them stop. Not the war on drugs,not prison,not drug testing in the workplace and not rehab. The percentage has always and always will be the same. For every person that quits there is a person who relapses. For every person that dies there is a person who has their first taste of alcohol or shoots up for the first time. Hate me for saying this but ALLOWING these people to do what they are ultamatly going to do anyway is the only way to win the war on drugs. The only thing that can be done to prevent a person from doing drugs and alcohol is educating them on the effects of the drugs and alcohol. After that the decision can only be made by the person as to wether or not he/she will choose that road to go down. Eduacation and legalization is the the only way to stop the thousands and thousands of robberies,murders and even overdoses that this country has each year.Give the junkie his fix but as long as he knows the risks involved.Give the crackhead his rock and put put all these dealers out of buisness that are shooting eachother and supplying drugs to these guys that just shot someone in the head for 20 bucks. And last but not least give the guy addicted to OxyContin his drug of choice and SAVE his life by not letting him have enough to make him wake up dead. LEGALIZE AND TAX ALL DRUGS AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON WHAT THE EFFECTS ARE. Lives will be saved but the percentage of drug addicts and alcoholics WILL NOT CHANGE.Has anyone heard of a guy that quit doing drugs because it's illegal? I think not.So go ahead and stop me from shooting up OxyContin by making it unavailable, but while you're at it you'd better make Vicodin,Codein,heroin and every other opiate unavailable also, and that's not EVER bound to happen but then again nor is the legalization of drugs.In the meantime before my fantasy, that makes way to much cents, comes true,run that guy through the prison system -that just got caught with an ounce of weed- so he can learn ways of not getting caught next time. And spend a couple hundred thousand of our tax dollars on him to just to have him sitting in prison getting high anyway.Whoever disagrees with how rational this actually is is confused.

Name:Shannon Email: Type:General Comment Date:11/26/2002	Right now as of 11/26/02 my friend is lying in a hospital bed in a coma bc someone gave her OxyContin,she was at a party when she was givin tha drug...the ppl who gave it to her didnt think anything of it till she wasnt responding to anything.Someone took her to a hospital where she is now.She is only 14 and so am I,She is my bestfriend and its going to hurt me really bad to see her die bc they dont have much hope for her.I never thought that I would see a friend die bc of drugs but i guess thats what is happening now..Please dont give Oxy to ppl who dont need the drug..It kills.
