On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED
them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating
directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who
are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE
PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP
warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been
affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story
then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving
these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be
warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.

My nephew died 3 days ago from taking this drug. He was 22 years old and was planning on going into re-hab this next week. It has devastated the whole family and our community. |

I really don't know what type of story this is but ever since I was about 10 years old my dad, Christopher Zorich, age 45 has been abusing oxycodone and a number of other types of pills.
I've seen him go from a tall muscular man to a skinny, boney type thing. Seriously he doesn't even look like himself anymore. His cheeks are sunken in, he can't even walk a straight line without stumbling and the worst part about it is I've cried to him, begging him to stop and he says he will but it's been almost 7 years and still nothing has changed other thatn we're growing apart from each other cause frankly "I HATE PILLS W/ A PASSION!!" and i reallly don't want to even see him anymore.

On October 20th of 2002 my husband found his 40 year old brother dead. He was prescribed OxyContin 40mg, Roxicet 5mg, and Valium 5mg. He was recently precribed OxyContin 20mg, Percocet 325mg and Valium 5mg. The first script of OxyContin 40 and Roxicet 5 and he's dead? Why the raise in dose we have no idea. He was a smaller man, did his dr concider his weight factor? Why switched from Percocet to Roxicet? My brother in law indeed suffered severe pain in his knee, back, and neck but the raise in doseage just doesn't add up. Iv'e also read in his paperwork my husband and I went through where back in 1995 they noticed his beginning addiction to the prescribed narcotics. Nothing is adding up. It isn't like my brother in law actually abused his prescriptions but to be switched to double the amount then chased with a Roxicet? Not to mention Valium. 40 years old is way too young for someone who only suffered "work-related" pains who was otherwise healthy. I find it messed up to learn his own prescriptions ripped him away from us this way. Can anyone help me understand why his dr would just up his dose even when he himself said he couldn't understand it either? He did mention he felt more comfortable on the OxyContin 20mg that the 40mg was just too strong... |
