On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.
Please read the other stories and add yours to our guestbook...

Im not sure what to do and i need help.my brother and sister in laws are abusing oxy even though they wont admit it.They just had a friend die 2 weeks ago from an oxy overdose. My in laws refuse to believe that they would abuse such a pill.My husband and i are at our wits end and dont know what to do anymore.we are afraid of losing them to this drug. They are buying and selling it.They have failed out of college they dont work and the parents just keep supporting them.we have gotten to the point where we dont want to talk to that side of the family anymore because I have 2 small children and i dont want them to think its ok to do this.my in laws are 24 and 26 and ruinig their lives and the rest of the familys. My husbands parents think that staying 4 hours away and they think that they are going to a walk in clinc for treatment is enough.I dont think they are seeking treatment and its killing me to think that they are still abusing.every story i read it seems it is so hard to quit and my inlaws think the opposite.all their friends are doing it>how do you stop abusing such a pill when everyone around you is doing it.they say they arent but now we hear they are taking xanax and some over the counter drug to replace the effects of o's.if you have aby advice please let me know what to do!!!!!!!

I am just becoming more educated on this whole Oxycontin abuse stuff. I knew that the drug killed and that it was widely abused, but I was not sure how it was done (chewing/snorting) or just how deadly it was (especially in combination with alcohol). I had heard a lot about Oxys through one of my very best friends, Brad, who ended up going into rehab for his problem with the drug not too long ago. He had sold the drug and abused it and was hooked. He told me it was the worst (addictively), worse than any other drug he had ever tried, and to never get near it. I thought he was okay...but I was wrong. Brad just died, April 13, 2004. The void I feel in my life is so great, I am not sure how to handle myself. I did not get to say goodbye. In these cases, I do not think many do. Brad was only 25 years old. I just expected him to be around! He had just started to get his life in order. He had landed a great job a couple of months ago, followed by two promotions, and if had I known, or any of his friends had known for that matter that he was still struggling, we would have stepped in and handcuffed him to our wrists until he was better. I thought he was. Everyone did. The saddest part is that we had dated on and off for some time, and I told him that in order to be with me, he had to get his life in order...and he had. He had just left me a voicemail, "This message is for the most incredible woman in the world" just a couple of months ago... and I was not ready at the time, and I did not call him back. You can imagine how I am kicking myself for that decision now. I loved him, as a person, with all of my heart...and thought maybe one day, we could give it a shot...but I will never get that chance now. Please pray for Brad's family and friends who are devasted by his loss. He was the most incredible person I have ever met. We will not find out for sure until test results come back, but he, like so many others, was found dead in his bed after hanging around some very bad individuals known for selling and abusing drugs. Until we find out...I LOVE YOU WITH ALL OF MY HEART BRAD AND I AM THINKING OF YOU CONSTANTLY. YOU WILL BE MISSED EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE.
