On about April 19th 2002 SOMEONE hacked into the old guestbooks and DELETED them. What they deleted was over 500 DEATH and ADDICTION stories relating directly to OXYCONTIN. They also deleted over 100 stories from people who are legitimate patients and most of them need oxycontin for their SEVERE PAIN. I apologize to anyone who took the time to share their stories to HELP warn others. Those guestbooks were somehow a comfort to all who have been affected by this ABUSE epidemic. Please if you are looking for your story then REPOST it. I'm sad to say but by the amount of email I am receiving these guestbook's will rapidly rebuild their SAD tales BUT people need to be warned as to the power of this drug and the deadly consequences when ABUSED.
Please read the other stories and add yours to our guestbook...

Hi, I lost my brother on Feb. 10th 2004. He had a back injury 2 years prior and was given oxys. He lost his life before he died. He had no self esteem, he was not at all the brother I knew and loved. He told his Dr. he wanted to quit and told his Dr. he through away the rest of them... his Dr. gave him a perscription "just in case" After 3 weeks of not taking them, the withdrawl symptoms where to unbearable. He got the refill and took what he was used to taking. He didn't realize his body could not tolerate the same amount that he took before he stopped taking them. I called his Dr. and told him my brother was chewing, snorting and abusing the oxy's. What did he do? He gave him another perscription after he knew...

hello, my name is adam, im only 22, i started using oxycontins at parties. my supplier was a good friend who sold not only these but other drugs as well. the first time i ate a quarter of an 80, at the time did not think i would ever do it again.... then i started using while at work, college, everwhere and everything i did. my fiance and i have been together for two years, one about six months after my on and off using she found my new habbit. I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO TAKE BACK THIS MOMENT. because now not only was i using she had found out about it and began to use as well. i remember achieving euphoria from only eating at first then snorting a quarter of a pill. both of us. my friend who is now dead, almost knocked me out when i ate my first pill. at the time i didn't know anybody or my friends that were doing them. they first started out at $10.00 80's that is, now they are up to $40.00 each /80 mg/ some places $1.00 per miligram. shewww. my friend would have a ton of them always. one day i woke up with flu like symptoms, hot/cold flashes. upset stomach. loose bowels, no energy at all, and just thought i was plain sick. untill i snorted my morning line. 40 mg. then the sickness was instantly gone. I was so scared. my fiance as well. the withdrawls were sooooooooooooooooo unbearable. no sleep i didn't know what to do. and was afraid to say anything. so like an idiot we just kept using. about a year later my friend who i knew of so long had committed suicide because he could not deal with the withdrawls and i assume his hook up for his hundreds of pills did not pull through... my fiance and i could not take this anymore... we both went through detox and are off of this horrible drug. people it is worse than HEROIN!!!!!! how can something that makes you feel soooooooo gooooood.... cause sooooo much pain????? its called opiates. stay away, i was up to doing four eighties a day. good luck. i wish this feeling to nobody....
